Mitt Romney is going to do something about these pesky student loans:
“It would be popular for me to stand up and say I’m going to give you government money to pay for your college, but I’m not going to promise that,” he said, to sustained applause from the crowd at a high-tech metals assembly factory here. “Don’t just go to one that has the highest price. Go to one that has a little lower price where you can get a good education. And hopefully you’ll find that. And don’t expect the government to forgive the debt that you take on.”
Mitt Romney is right — hey, if you can’t get money on your own to go to college and figure it on your own, dickwad.
We continue to circle the drain. Policies so beloved that any politician who publicly ran them down was seen as a fringe candidate. Now we have the frontrunner telling people not to look to government loans — the most secure and stable student loans — to continue their education.
Because after all, you could just get a job shining Mitt Romney shoes.
